Paying for Mistakes

By now most of you are probably well aware of Fay's lucrative little operation out at the National Seashore. If not, feel free to read back a few entries and you should be up to date.

Anyway, we went out there last weekend to "wook at the wab", and were greeted with the vision of this beautiful creature perched on a dune nearby.

Well, as it turns out, Fay is not only protective of her little lean-to crackshack, but also every grain of sand within about a quarter mile. All that her mother or I saw was a bolt of white light and the stinging of flying sand, and then this:

You really wouldn't have known that anything had happened by looking at her, but the numerous white feathers and copious amounts of stork blood kind of gave it away.

Yes, that is a complete wing! Just for future reference, if she gets ahold of one of your limbs just stop fighting.

On another note, her dancing classes are coming along fine. She had her first recital a few weeks back, but unfortunately there was one girl in the class that didn't get the memo. She hasn't been seen since.
